Hi, I’m Ella! I am passionate about building teams, fostering positive relationships, and finding solutions through creativity and critical thinking. In my current role, that means supporting my team as unique individuals in order to come together to create success for students. I believe that when we as leaders build connections that are open, respectful, and intentional, we build the foundations for success. Some skills that help me help myself and others to succeed are-Written, oral, and interpersonal communication (if we can’t effectively talk to each other, we can’t relate!)-Personal organization (we have to be mindful of keeping order so as to support ourselves and support others)-Critical thinking (when we care about something, we need to think critically about what we need to do to keep it on track to succeed)-Giving and receiving constructive feedback (we all have blind spots, but feedback helps us overcome them)-Attention to detail (an eye for detail helps us reduce mistakes) I believe that every person brings something special to the table, and an effective leader utilizes their own skills plus their knowledge of their team's in order to create success as an organization. That's my professional ideology in a nutshell! In my personal life, I love to read and write (in English and in Spanish), indulge in baked goods (as long as they involve chocolate), attempt to practice health and fitness (I hear it's good for you!), and keep my cats from destroying my home (though, this is more a necessity than a passion).
