Background

About Ella Rubin

I am a sophomore at The Ohio State University's College of Arts and Sciences, pursuing a major in Sociology and minors in Cultural Anthropology and Public Policy & Social Justice. I am particularly interested in understanding the structures, institutions, and cultural dynamics that ultimately shape human behavior outcomes. Through my internships with The Maryland Department of Emergency Management and The University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, I am developing a strong foundation in proactive communication, critical thinking, and empathy with action. My time at Camp Louise gave me hands on expirence with caring for groups of children in their day to day lives. It strengthened my ability to build trust, respond to diverse needs, and create a supportive environment. I am eager to apply all the lessons and skills I have gained to meaningful, real-world contexts where I can make an impact!
