About Ella Spanjersberg

I'm Ella Spanjersberg, an Austin native who discovered my love for storytelling at a young age. What started as make-believe evolved into a passion for theatre and later for film. I pursued my love for film by earning a BA in media arts production at Emerson College, where I honed my skills and passions.During my time at Emerson, I produced multiple independently-funded short films. I also had the opportunity to travel to Prague for a summer intensive and studied at FAMU International, where I received a certificate in filmmaking. While attending Emerson College, I discovered my interest in producing and development. I further explored this pathway by attending Emerson College’s semester in Los Angeles program, where I worked as a creative TV and film development intern at Buffalo 8 Bondit. During my time at the company, I contributed to the distribution department, provided valuable insights into script evaluation for the development department, and handled additional responsibilities such as entertainment research, preparing grids for research projects, staying current with industry news, and transforming information into actionable ideas. Thanks to the extraordinary opportunities I had while at Emerson College, I graduated in just 3.5 years. As of December 2023, I am transitioning into living full-time in Los Angeles and into the next stage of my career. As a producer, I'm dedicated to representing untold stories. As a young queer woman and a caretaker to my disabled sister, I strive to incorporate accurate representation into all the media I produce.
