About Ella Stasko

I am a current senior at the University of Vermont pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences. I am passionate about increasing healthcare accessibility and affordability by incorporating new technologies. I'm looking forward to building on my foundational skills in engineering, computer science and tissue engineering to do just that! As an Undergraduate Research Assistant, I have developed tissue engineering laboratory skills while continuing a project with goals to better understand the pathogenesis of pulmonary arterial hypertension. As a Teaching Assistant I have maintained important foundational knowledge in cellular biology and demonstrated mastery by communicating my knowledge weekly to students enrolled in the class. As a Linking Engineering to Life STEM Mentor, I have worked with youth to instill a passion for engineering. These positions have honed my public speaking, communication, and presentational skills.
