I’ve had the privilege of accumulating 14 months of experience and I’m eager to share my journey with you. Professional Background: I started my experience as a Marketing Intern within the Leadership and Community Engagement Office at UNC Charlotte. There I was introduced to the fundamentals of creativity and brand management and learned the importance of digital marketing. Over the past few months, I have taken that expertise to the role of Marketing Assistant within the Hartley Drive Family YMCA Branch for Youth Programming. These experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive skill set that includes communication, design, and event management. These competencies led me to manage digital media across Instagram, Mailchimp, and TikTok, including video content production, contributing to a campaign that secured a award for the Jamil Niner Pantry. Notable Involvement and Recognition: Throughout my experiences as a student, I’ve been fortunate to achieve significant milestones and receive recognition for my contributions. Here’s a glimpse into some of the notable recognitions and achievements I’ve earned: 1. Niblock Scholar: Selected among a competitive applicant pool to serve in the inaugural class of Niblock Scholars to engage in regular professional development activities. Women In Business Ambassador: Chosen through a rigorous selection process to lead and execute research-based events for 40+ attendees. Opportunities include participating in formal leadership training with the Center for Leadership Science. Giving Back: In addition to my professional pursuits, I am passionate about giving back to the community. I actively volunteer with Jamil Niner Pantry, where I have been involved in initiatives such as the NC Collegiate Hunger Challenge, stocking shelves/managing inventory, and checking in shoppers.
