About Ellen Breau

My professional strength lies in the intersection between analytical, detail-oriented work and communication/people skills. I have experience in the education, financial, and defense sectors, with a strong interest in languages and international organizations/constituents. The most rewarding part of my current and previous work has been in helping people achieve their goals and become their best selves. At Fay School, I researched potential donors, both domestic and international, and provided annual reporting to endowed fund donors. The school is a true international community, with students hailing from 22 countries, as well as 11 states. It is gratifying to support an excellent academic foundation for 475 students, approximately 25% of whom receive some form of financial aid. At Thompson Wealth Management, I coordinated five 401(k) plans including communicating via newsletters, documents and presentations. I also advised 401(k) participants on their investment options, and assisted in getting a new website up and running. It was rewarding to help people on the path to reaching their retirement goals. My career path led me overseas for a very engaging five years working in Belgium (NATO) and Greece (University of Indianapolis Athens), and I speak French, Spanish and Greek. I have a B.A. in Mathematics from College of the Holy Cross, an M.S. in Management from Boston University Brussels, and have passed the Series 65 examination with FINRA.
