About Ellen Caffrey

I work in the HR Strategy team within Human Capital Consulting at Deloitte Ireland, where I specialise in leading clients through end-to-end HR technology and transformation journeys for both private and public sector clients. With over six years of consulting experience, I bring a blend of strategic insight and delivery expertise across HR transformation, HR tech advisory and HR shared service implementations. I support organisations in reimagining their HR functions by assessing where they are today, defining their vision for the future, and supporting them in implementing the right solutions to get there. My core areas of expertise include: • Current state assessments and HR maturity analysis • Capturing employee group requirements to inform future-state HR design • Mapping pain points and documenting future opportunities • HR process design, optimisation and future-state journey creation • HR tech strategy reports, including the case for change, indicative investment and recommendations • Business case development for HRIS investment • Vendor evaluation and selection activities • Designing HR operating models and service delivery structures • Pre-implementation planning and mobilisation • Preparing organisations for large-scale HR technology change • Delivered global Workday HCM and HR shared service implementations (previously Workday HCM Core certified) I have led key HR transformation project activities, including stakeholder engagement, training delivery, detailed process mapping, and knowledge transfer. I have also supported the design of future-state HR processes, developed standard operating procedures, defined role responsibilities, and created toolkits to help organisations embed new ways of working. I hold a Master’s in Human Resource Management from UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School, and a BA in Social Science from UCD.
