About Ellen Chandler

After a transformative trip to Bangladesh with the Canadian travel company Operation Groundswell, I shifted my focus in fashion to a more sustainable, ethical approach—thinking deeply about the future of the industry and its impact. This journey inspired me to found Clothes Minded, a boutique consultancy dedicated to guiding fashion businesses toward doing better—better business, better fashion, and a better world. My mission is to empower brands to embrace sustainable practices that drive positive change across the industry. Through Clothes Minded, we a number of provide services including sustainability impact reporting and strategy planning, circular design thinking, sample making and startup assistance, helping businesses bring their ideas to life while staying true to sustainable values. Clothes Minded’s next venture is Wear The Future - engaging school workshops that introduce students to sustainability in fashion, fostering early awareness and action. In addition to my consultancy work, I’m a sessional academic at QUT, where I tutor in design sustainability and textiles. Sharing my knowledge and passion with emerging designers is a deeply rewarding part of my career. I hold a Bachelor of Business/Fine Arts (Fashion) from Queensland University of Technology. I’m always open to connecting with like-minded individuals and exploring mutual ideas to make the fashion industry more sustainable.
