About Ellen Colson

After studying economics, I never thought I'd end up working in the world of data. However, today this is the case and I wouldn't want to see it any other way! Every day I get energy from supporting customers in building, maintaining and governing consistent, reliable and high-quality data- and analytical products. As a business analyst active in software development- and implementation projects, the importance of good data, and its underestimation, quickly became clear to me. That revelation led to starting my journey as a consultant, focusing exclusively on data-related projects. Immediately, I discovered how much there was still to learn and I decided to dive in head first. That's when things got real, real fast. It was the start of a fantastic on-the-job learning adventure focusing on Data Management, Data Governance, Data Strategy, and, most importantly, change- and transformation management. My most significant, and favorite challenge is and remains to find creative ways to create awareness, improve, and boost the adoption rate of data management activities without losing sight of the human aspect. I aspire to do this by helping my colleagues and customers solve problems, tackling complex challenges together, demonstrating value through practical examples/use cases and bringing a fun energy to a seemingly boring field.
