USDC, DNJ USDC, SDNY USDC, EDNY USDC, NDNY I specialize in corporate and complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage litigation, premises liability defense, products liability defense, retail owner/operator liability defense, and insurance defense litigation. Admitted to the practice of law in 1985, I began my legal career as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Harry A. Margolis, Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex County, Chancery Division, 1984-1985, where I conceived and wrote the original draft of the New Jersey Chancery Law Clerk Handbook. I practiced with the law firm of Tompkins, McGuire, Wachenfeld & Barry in Newark until 2001, then with the firm of Taylor Colicchio LLP until August 2019, when I joined Burns White. I am Co-Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Insurance Defense Committee and a Member of the NJSBA Insurance Law, Business, and Civil Trial Sections. I served on the Attorney Working Group of the Supreme Court’s Special Committee on Electronic Filing, and the Advisory Committee on Information Technology. I was also Co-Chair of the NJSBA Alternative Work Arrangements Committee. I have held the position of Adjunct Professor at Montclair State University, where I taught Legal Research and Legal Writing, and at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where I taught English Writing Workshops.
