About Ellen Curtin

I'm an experienced digital marketing and social media expert currently working as Marketing Manager at Gaelchultúr. In my current position I am responsible for managing, engaging and growing the company's online communities, driving website traffic and increasing sales through inbound marketing and advertising activities. Previously, I worked as the Content Marketing & Social Media Manager with City Wonders Ltd. During my time in this position I successfully grew the company's Instagram community by 460%+ in just 18 months. I also spent time working with Tourism Ireland, team Europe, as a Marketing Assistant. Working across an array of European markets with a variety cultures, behaviours and consumers served as a springboard for my development as a marketer. At Tourism Ireland I worked alongside a team of dynamic, international colleagues to ensure the smooth running of Europe marketing operations and pan-European campaigns, manage team and industry events and administrate Europe central budgets and finance. I am committed to my professional development and appreciate the need for continuous learning and up-skilling in the ever-evolving landscape of digital marketing. In 2019 I completed a professional diploma in Digital Marketing and Strategy at DBS, graduating with a First Class Honors. I was awarded a First Class Honours Postgraduate Diploma in Technology Commercialisation from NUIG in 2022. I also graduated with a First Class Honors BA degree in Journalism and Irish from Dublin City University in 2014. I'm passionate about the Irish language, its promotion and preservation. I have worked across a range of multi-channel media platforms including the Irish national broadcaster service RTÉ, Dublin-based Irish language radio station Raidió na Life and online video and news platform Oireachtas TV.
