About Ellen Derrick

I am a transformation leader with over 25 years of executive experience helping governments and public institutions achieve meaningful policy and service outcomes. As Deloitte’s Asia-Pacific Government & Public Services Leader, I work with leaders across the region to design and deliver technology-enabled transformations that improve citizen services, strengthen institutions, and create sustainable impact. Previously, as Managing Partner of Deloitte Consulting in Australia, I led a $1B+ business of professionals through significant growth and change. This included scaling advisory, implementation and operate services; expanding global delivery capability; forging deep alliance partnerships; and launching Deloitte’s world-first Climate & Engineering portfolio to support clients’ ESG strategies. Earlier in my career, I served as Deloitte’s National Leader for Public Sector and Public Policy, guiding national growth and impact across Australia’s government and public services clients. I also serve as Chair of batyr, a youth mental health non-profit, and as a Board Member of the Corporate Mental Health Alliance of Australia. I am also a member of Chief Executive Women and the UNSW Business School Advisory Council, and an advocate for diversity, inclusion, and mental health in the workplace. I bring a proven track record of shaping strategy, driving transformation at scale, and advising boards and senior leaders on complex challenges. I am motivated by the opportunity to create better outcomes for citizens, organisations, and communities through transformative change. Based in Canberra with my family, I enjoy soccer, skiing, and bringing people together over good food.
