Notable Cases Collins v City of Milledgeville This case stems out of the misidentification and false arrest of Cathy Collins. The Mayor, the Chief of Police, and the City Council of Milledgeville resigned as a part of the resolution of this case.It also resulted in the state-wide implementation by Charles Sever, Head of Security of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation of a training course designed to add rigorous awareness as to what is required to make an appropriate identification. Watkins v Baldwin Northside Hospital et al Mark Baldwin shot and killed DeKalb Fire Chief, Gober. Case included numerous issues of insanity and monetary liability. My representation of Mark Baldwin's parents resulted in the case against them being dropped, even though they were the only possible source of compensation in the case. There were nine attorneys as opposing counsel. Hosch v State–Supreme Court of Georgia Leading case on burden shifting jury instructions in a murder case, reversed the decision of the state. From this case forward if a defendant were to raise a defense in a criminal case, it was reversible error to give the jury instructions, which placed the burden on the defendant to prove his innocence on that issue.
