Background

About Ellen Kwiatkowski

My diverse experience includes 25 years in non-profit administration, strategy and development in the fields of biodiversity conservation, land acquisition, health care for the underserved (via Federally Qualified Health Center) and Native American tribal government programs and land use/repatriation. I love working in teams as a leader or collaborator and have held leadership positions at the organizational, departmental and team levels, deriving immense satisfaction from fruitful collaboration directed at creative problem solving. I have worked internationally and with North American indigenous tribes, fostering a deep cultural sensitivity and appreciation for different world views. I particularly enjoy managing complex multicultural projects and staff at international levels and am fluent in Spanish. I consider myself to be creative, open minded, and flexible and am driven by the desire to serve. In partnership with my husband, I additionally co-owned and operated a certified organic diversified fruit farm in northern Wisconsin for 16 years. I am very passionate about enhancing our individual and collective understanding and perceptions of our natural environment and help deepen our connections with nature, each other and ourselves.
