About Ellen Leong

My career in hospitality started in 1996 as a receptionist at the Sandton Sun Hotel were I got promoted to shift leader. In I applied for a position as Guest Services agent at the Head Office of Sun International. Within that year I was moved into the position of cashbook administrator under the Advanced Payments Department. Through my years in this department, I've worked with 3 South African Bank accounts, a non-residential CFC US Dollar account, an automated credit card banking system, ACCPAC, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word. I was promoted to Advanced Payments Supervior and have benefited from in house management training courses, a migration to IFS, Online Travel Agent extranet systems, managing staff, compiling statistics, conducting meetings, staff training and development, drawing up standard operating procedures, to name a few. My future goal is to study and gain experience in the Revenue Management field.
