I began my career as a news reporter, where I honed my skills in research and storytelling while developing a deep appreciation for the human element in every narrative. This experience guided my transition into public relations and marketing, where I was able to apply my expertise to amplify the voices of organizations working to make a positive impact. Recognizing the potential for communication to shape the world of regional development, I returned to school to obtain a master’s degree in City and Regional Planning. Armed with this knowledge and my passion for storytelling, I shifted my focus toward technology-based economic development, promoting the exchange of best practices and strengthening regional economies. Today, as a communications strategist with a special interest in STEM education and workforce development, I leverage my unique blend of communication, strategic planning, and economic development experience to create compelling narratives that drive change and foster understanding. I collaborate with diverse groups and stakeholders, utilizing innovative communication strategies to advance the work of initiatives that will cultivate a more prosperous, inclusive future for all.
