About Ellen Papadeas

I was a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts, who operated a private psychotherapy practice is in Georgetown MA. I have maintained this license. Currently, I work for Lifestance, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. Here I also am licensed (as an LPCC). I work with youths, adults, and families who represent a diverse range of life experiences. The quality of our relationship is of primary importance to me. In the work, all clients learn to understand and cope with emotions, difficult moods and behaviors, and challenges to self-acceptance. Some address issues of family origin and learn new patterns of communication, in a desire to improve personal and professional relationships. We do this with psychoeducation, coping skills, somatic exercises, expressive arts; mindfulness; other skill-building approaches (CBT, social skills); parenting support and conscious conversation. One specialty is helping people stabilize during the early phase of coming to terms with past trauma. Another is supporting those with late life ADHD diagnoses.
