Background
About Ellen Pearce-Davies
I am an enthusiastic and creative researcher with a focus on community engagement, gender dynamics, the science policy interface and risk communication in the context of disasters and Climate change. I have experience working in multidisciplinary, cross-national teams, interacting with a variety of stakeholders and managing multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines. I have particular strengths in writing, pitching my voice for different audiences to communicate effectively. Through my experience researching the experiences of people with Diverse SOGIE's in Disasters in Japan, I have gained a deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods: survey and interview design, implementation and analysis; statistical analysis using SPSS and R, and GIS. I also hold an N2 level qualification in Japanese language.
