About Ellen Reed

As a Conferencing and Events Coordinator at Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU), I am responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering a range of events for the university and external clients, such as conferences, workshops, and exhibitions. I liaise with stakeholders to ensure that the events run smoothly and meet the objectives and expectations of the clients. I have a BSc (Hons) in Event Management from the University of Lincoln, where I gained valuable knowledge and skills in event design, marketing, operations, and evaluation. I also have experience in digital and social media marketing, having worked as a Digital Coordinator at the National Television Awards 2022, where I created and posted engaging content for the official NTA account and gathered video interviews from award winners backstage. Additionally, I have experience in working with diverse and disadvantaged groups, having served as an Events and Marketing Coordinator at LiNCHigher, a project that aims to increase the participation of young people in higher education. I am a self-motivated, confident, and driven professional, who is passionate about creating memorable and impactful events. I am always eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges in the marketing and events industry. I have excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, which enable me to form meaningful relationships with colleagues and customers. My goal is to further develop my competencies and contribute to the success and growth of the organizations I work with.
