Wellness Entrepreneur, Educator & Wholistic Health Coach. As Director of Integrative Health for Illinois Bone & Joint, Ellen's role was to integrate complementary medicine with orthopedic medicine as a way of assisting clients with their overall health. Complementary services included: Therapeutic Massage, Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture, Pilates, Personal Training and Health Coaching. During Ellen's two years with IBJI, gross revenue more than doubled and staffing increased by 50%. She helped expand access to complementary wellness services by establishing relationships and referrals within IBJI and setting up a system of insurance coverage for Acupuncture services. Previously, Ellen established Release Massage Therapy to provide on-going care to clients to promote a healthy active lifestyle. Over 11 years, the practice evolved into an integrative care center that assisted clients in navigating holistic healthcare for themselves and their families. Practice offered bodywork & healing services from experienced therapists including: myofascial release, sports massage, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, lymphatic drainage, craniosacral therapy, pregnancy/fertility/postpartum, thai massage, bamboo massage, cupping, kinesiology taping, visceral manipulation, reflexology, reiki.
