As a Scientific Associate at the University Health Network (UHN), I lead and support high-impact initiatives in Health Professions Education, driving innovation in training, research, and program development. Over the past three years, I have contributed to securing over $5 million in funding, enabling the advancement of education programs that enhance healthcare delivery and workforce development. With a strong background in global health, I have extensive experience implementing health projects across East and South Africa, focusing on community-based initiatives, food security, and sustainable health systems. My work has included designing and executing programs that enhance access to care, build local capacity, and improve health outcomes in resource-limited settings. I bring expertise in program development, research, strategic funding acquisition, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring initiatives are effectively designed, executed, and evaluated for long-term impact. My work also integrates sex- and gender-based considerations into health education and research, promoting more inclusive and equitable approaches. I am passionate about leveraging evidence-based strategies and implementation science to strengthen global and local health systems.
