About Ellie Moran

Former emergency call-taker and dispatcher now working in operational leadership within Victoria’s Triple Zero service.I’ve spent the past 14 years at Triple Zero Victoria working across the emergency communications system, starting in frontline call-taking and dispatch, moving into team leadership, and now working in the Operations Manager role supporting leadership capability and service delivery across the communications centre. My work sits at the intersection of people, performance and the operational systems that underpin emergency service delivery. In practice that means coaching leaders, managing complex workforce matters, supporting operational decision-making and strengthening the processes that sit behind a 24/7 emergency service. Much of the work involves helping people perform well in environments that are high pressure, unpredictable and often emotionally demanding.Relied upon for operational judgement when complex or sensitive workforce issues arise, particularly where leadership capability, psychological safety and organisational risk intersect.More broadly, I’m interested in how operational systems actually function in practice, where policy, governance and frontline reality meet, and finding practical ways to improve them so they work better for both staff and the community we serve.I care deeply about the people doing this work and the integrity of the service we provide to Victoria. That’s what drives my interest in improving the systems that support them.
