About Ellie Piffer

Ellie Piffer, R.T.(R)(CT) graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a degree in Radiologic Technology. She is a certified computed tomography and radiologic technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Ellie is currently working at Delta County Memorial Hospital in Delta, CO and Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO as a CT and x-ray technologist. Ellie's prior experience includes over four years in higher education and financial aid. She was the Associate Director of Financial Aid Reporting and Disbursements at Northcentral University where she manages the processing of federal financial aid and veteran education benefits. On average Ellie’s team would manually process 3,750 transactions per month in Stafford Loans and Pell Grant funds using the EDExpress systems. During the 2013 calendar year Ellie oversaw a net drawdown of Title IV aid totaling over $90 million. Some major accomplishments Ellie achieved while working at NCU include reconciling Direct Loan and Pell Grants programs on time for multiple award years; creating, writing and editing policy and procedure manuals for processing financial aid and VA education benefits; receiving 100% scores on annual audits for financial aid and VA education benefits; and she was an integral part of transitioning from a 3rd party servicer and implementing a financial aid system. Working at a proprietary 100% online higher education institution Ellie has gained skills to be successful in a fast paced, customer service centered environment. In her spare time Ellie enjoys hiking with her dog Wyatt, participating in obstacle course mud runs, traveling and she has found a passion for CrossFit.
