My work focuses on advancing the recovery of brain injury rehabilitation outpatients who no longer gain from conventional therapy and have ongoing cognitive disabilities. The novel therapy approach I’ve designed enables most clients to resume recovery within two weeks of starting. Unique aspects of the therapy model include: • A client-centered approach that prioritizes the activities most important to the individual • A program that builds on the person’s strengths, rather than focusing solely on their deficits. • A model that is customized to each person, and adjusts as they achieve gains in cognitive performance • Incorporation of personal technology, and the ability to customize applications to help clients achieve their goals • Delivery via telehealth, enabling therapy to occur in the person’s natural environments.
