About Elliot Ramsden

I currently work as a SOC Analyst at ReliaQuest, responding to incidents for numerous Fortune 500 companies. Due to performing incident response for multiple customers, I have also had to work with numerous technologies such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, and many more, As part of this role I also implement tuning logic for these various technologies to reduce false positive alerts ensuring customers only receive actionable alerts. I graduated with a degree in Cyber Security (Hons) BSc degree from Staffordshire University where I achieved a 1:1 (First Class) degree. During this time at university, I completed modules such as network security, ethical hacking, software development, and machine learning, amongst others. My dissertation involved creating a reverse shell program between a client and a server, the client code was uploaded to the victim machine using a USB Rubber Ducky. Currently, I am working towards certifications such as the Security+ by CompTIA as well as the CCNA by Cisco.
