About Ellis Chen

I have a passion for embedded systems, electronics, and data science. I have experience working with microcontrollers and communication protocols over UART/I2C. I enjoyed projects in digital design, computer architecture, and high performance computing.Ultimately, I wish to be involved in electronics and PCB design. I also recently took an interest in data analytics and machine learning for image processing. The majority of my experiences went into verifying the analog & power systems (Low-dropout regulators, oscillators, phased locked loops, startup & power down sequences) of memory controllers met their required specifications. Many of my projects involved writing automation code using Visual Basic for Applications to run laboratory equipment. I also had experience with reading & writing ASIC registers over the JTAG protocol.I worked as a karate instructor for Tibon’s Goju Ryu Fighting Arts since 2018, and I have gained many interpersonal skills such as: teaching in front of an audience, communicating between students and parents to ensure customer satisfaction, and taking on leadership roles to guide students through training and professional life skills.I have done volunteer work at the Yosemite Street Village located in Stockton CA, cleaning up the environment and making renovations to long-running establishments. I have also done numerous live karate demonstrations at the Stockton Buddhist Church, which provided education about the culture and the arts. Many of my volunteering experiences involved being active within the community and taking the initiative to better the condition of others.
