About Elly Mead
I am an Part II Architectural Assistant and Engagement Specialist at Hawkins\Brown, having previously been the Design Champion at The Glass-House Community Led Design, a national Charity based in London. My practice is based in community-led design processes, architectural and urban design and system-thinking. I graduated from the Masters programme at The Manchester School of Architecture in 2020. My thesis project explored themes of food security within Greater Manchester, establishing a new design framework based around a systematic approach to issues of access to food, land ownership and community engagement with built projects. I'm also a London National Park City Ranger, a voluntary role with London National Park City which aims to help to make London greener, healthier and wilder. I'm passionate about connecting people to the places, nature and community around them.
