ELLYCE COOPER is a partner in the Sidley’s Century City office and member of the Commercial Litigation and Disputes practice. She has extensive experience handling government enforcement matters and internal investigations as well as complex civil litigation. Ellyce assists companies facing significant crisis situations and government investigations. She leads companies in determining a complete, thoughtful and responsive strategy for the client. Ellyce is particularly adept at working on multi-faceted matters that involve a number of different government and regulatory entities and parties. Ellyce’s diverse white collar experience includes representing clients in internal investigations and government investigations. She frequently represents providers in the banking industry along with Medicare Fraud and Abuse matters and has also worked on investigations related to regulatory compliance issues. Ellyce’s state and federal litigation practice includes representing clients in connection with False Claims Act matters, including qui tam “whistleblower” lawsuits, accountant liability litigation and medical device and pharmaceutical matters. She has defended clients through various stages of litigation, from trial preparation through verdict. Her client list includes notable companies from the healthcare, pharmaceutical, accounting, financial, defense and automotive industries. Ellyce is well versed in electronic collection and production and is a frequent speaker on internal investigations, whistleblower related topics and electronic discovery. She chair Sidley’s Los Angeles office Committee for the Retention and Promotion of Women and has developed several innovative programs.
