About Eloise Dolan

An international relations and international education professional, Eloise has recently entered a new role with Austrade, Australia’s Trade and Investment Commission, working on Asia-focused investment and supporting Austrade's Circular Economy and Critical Technologies Communities of Practice. Prior to this, she was Strategic Advisor, Southeast Asia, for the Victorian Government where she was responsible for providing executive level advice to the Commissioner for Victoria to Southeast Asia, as well as strategic support with the operations of the Southeast Asian Victorian Government Trade and Investment (VGTI) offices across trade, investment, education, and government relations. Eloise was also Program Manager and Generation Asia Lead at Asia Society Australia for four years, where she coordinated the centre’s programming output, managed relationships with key Australian stakeholders, and led the Generation Asia strategic pillar comprising research, partnerships, programs, and the National Emerging Leaders Forum, founded by Eloise in 2020. A trainer and enthusiast in intercultural learning, Eloise is currently a volunteer member of AFS Intercultural Programs’ Global Board of Trustees where she is responsible for identifying the strategic direction and goals for this international organisation comprising 50+ network partners and over volunteers worldwide. She also serves as the Chair of the board's education committee. Eloise studied abroad with AFS from Australia to France in 2010, and has since been active as a volunteer board member, qualified trainer and mentor in Australia and abroad. Eloise was awarded the prestigious Tony Adams Rising Star Award during the 2022 Australia International Education Conference (AIEC). She was also nominated as the 2021 Young Woman to Watch by Young Australians in International Affairs. She holds a Master of International Relations from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia.
