Welcome to my profile! I am a dedicated professional with a strong background in cyber engagement and a focus on fostering diversity in the cybersecurity industry. Currently, I am honored to serve as a Community Manager at the Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN). In my role at AWSN, I lead the charge in driving effective cyber communications strategies to empower and elevate women in the security industry. I am responsible for developing and implementing engaging content that highlights the achievements, challenges, and perspectives of women in cybersecurity. I firmly believe that a diverse and inclusive cybersecurity industry leads to stronger and more innovative solutions. Through my work at AWSN, I actively promote diversity initiatives, foster community engagement, and encourage the next generation of women to pursue careers in cybersecurity. Beyond my role at AWSN, I am currently completing my Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering with a major in Cyber Security and System Administration at the University of Canberra. This academic foundation, combined with my practical experience in cyber communications, equips me with a comprehensive understanding of the field and the ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to diverse audiences. I am a staunch supporter of diversity in STEM. In 2020, I founded and led the University's first-ever Women in STEM club,'UC Supporting Women in STEM'(UCSWIS). It has grown into the largest club on campus, boasting nearly 150 official members and over 1,250 followers across our social media platforms. UCSWIS has made a significant impact, providing over 20 scholarships for cybersecurity conferences and partnering with 'Code like a Girl' to offer discounted training. We've organized 50+ events and workshops in under two years, including annual fundraisers for Liptember and International Women's Day, raising over for these important causes. I am also a passionate advocate for individuals living with asthma. My story has been featured in prominent media outlets such as A Current Affair, ABC News, The Canberra Times, and Asthma Australia. I had the honor of being the face of Asthma Australia's 'End of Financial Year' campaign in winter 2021.
