About Elora Knipe

My Name is Elora, I live in Alaska, we moved to Alaska when i was five with my parents and my younger brother. My father was in the air force, My parents divorced while we were stationed in alaska so my mom and my brother and I stayed well my dad moved to washington for a few years, He was stationed there he finally got stationed back in alaska but was in fairbanks for four yrs. Both my parents remarried, So our family grew I grew up here in alaska and now consider it my home. My mom had a child with her new husband who also had two daughters to make a long story short we all grew up together, Their were 8 total of us kids 3 of the children were my moms sisters kids. My natural aunt they were more like brothers and sister to me as time went on our family grew up and started families of their own my youngest brother raising 4 of his own kids became a single father at a young age. Raising his kids by himself. He was well loved by many sadly may 1st 2015 he passed away he was 37 yrs old and at a happy point in his life was engaged to be married, They were expecting a son and they had big plans for traveling with their combined family. My brothers baby was born 4 months after his death his mother left him with us at 5 weeks old so he is being raised with his brother and sisters it's just me my mom who is 77 yrs old raising my brothers kids here in alaska so life has been a struggle for us but we are making it work kids are growing healthy and strong we all miss my brother very much but have to continue living and making things work life in Alaska is not easy anyone who's lived here an extended time can tell you. I do Love Alaska. I had 7 children of my own 5 boys and 2 girls My 4th boy at 56 days old passed away. That was one the hardest times of my life.
