About Elsa Klein

Stories are powerful. They can spark debate, bring people together, and persuade us to see the world in a different way. My roles have all focused on starting conversations and engaging communities through telling and sharing stories. I’ve been involved with local radio and media, public libraries, thought leadership strategy, and print & digital publishing. I’ve ghostwritten non-fiction books, and supported manuscripts at every stage of the development process. As a core member of Intelligent Ink, I help niche industry experts develop, plan, edit, and ghostwrite their book manuscripts. We host the only book writing course in the world designed specifically for thought leaders. The Better Book Project brings aspiring authors from the seed of an idea to a finished manuscript through small group coaching sessions. We believe in depth over speed. Our approach relies on deep conversations, ongoing analysis, human-created writing, and a collaborative editing process. What drives me- Community-driven impact — From books to social campaigns, I believe the best strategies invite participation- Creative problem-solving — Finding connections that bring together a cohesive strategy or narrative structure- Thought leadership & positioning — Helping businesses and individuals articulate their vision in a way that resonates- Exploration — A challenging client, an ethical paradox, a new strategic priority for the business. I’m most motivated when I’m learning. My Story: I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and moved overseas at 17 for my undergrad in English. When I finished, I became a bicycle & adventure tour guide with a luxury travel company…right before the pandemic. In 2020, I found myself stuck in the New Zealand, and decided to lean into the experience. Now a permanent NZ resident with clients around the world, I split my time between countries and time zones. To me, work, passion and life are all one and the same. Alongside writing, I spend my energy hiking, surfing, and playing harp with my band (IG @tiny_lighting_music). Whether you’re looking to collaborate, discuss your next book idea, or explore a new opportunity, I’d love to connect.
