I am an accomplished finance professional, with extensive experience of developing and implementing financial strategies; preparing and monitoring financial budgets and forecasts; leading and motivating small teams and using my influence to ensure effective financial outcomes. Over the last 30 years, I have gained experience in the banking, voluntary and education sectors, where I have operated at both Executive and Chair level and where my multi-sector experience has enabled me to be more effective. During a short career break, following taking Voluntary Redundancy in September 2016, I refocused my career on the education sector – a sector, which I am passionate about. KEY SKILLS: • Considerable experience of developing, implementing and critiquing financial strategies, helping small businesses develop their financial budgets for the first time. • Extremely organised, with the ability to efficiently plan both complex work reviews and local fundraising events. • Strong and effective team leader, motivating and supporting work team members, encouraging Development Plans and establishing a collaborative environment. • Successfully led a number of high profile Working Parties. • Excellent presentation / report writing skills, with the ability to communicate complicated concepts in a clear way. • Regular experience of presenting a range of reports to Executive teams and advising them of future risks and proposing solutions. • Demonstrated ability and confidence to work in different sectors and with different people.
