About Elspeth Kovar

NOTE: I am on partial sabbatical for family reasons. This is long but worth skimming. I'm a copy editor, reader, meeting planner, do general research, on site sales and marketing, statistical surveys, and number of odd things. I've been described as Rikki-Tikki-Tavi: give me something interesting and if I don't know I'll go learn about it. I'm good with people, from hand selling to diffusing difficult situations. I've managed volunteers, very different from managing employees. My computer skills are average, my research and learning skills excessive. I see both sides of things, having started out beta testing surveys. I translate between a lot of information and something that can be explained, taught, and understood. Discuss what you want to accomplish and I'll sort it into specifics. I admit to enjoying the hand selling despite the low pay. Give me something I believe in and I can sell it. I once kitted someone out with the right motorcycle safety gear then turned down a job: I was just there with a friend. From things easier for someone elderly or injured to cook to not getting injured in the first place to your store or product. Or just a book. If people need something I'll get it to them. Clearly I don't have a formal resume: a lot of things I do have been picked up by experience or because they make sense. But a resume only gives you data, this gives you the actual person.(I occasionally volunteer to help if you're a small, personally owned business or a project that matters. Talk to me about it.)
