Background

About Eltone Mabodo

As a Research, Assessment and Monitoring (RAM) Officer at World Food Programme, I apply my data science and econometric skills to support evidence-based decision making and advocacy for food security and nutrition interventions. I collect, process, and analyze data from various sources, using statistical packages such as Stata and R, and produce reports, dashboards, and presentations that inform and influence policy and program design and implementation. I have over five years of working experience as an economist and data analyst, with a focus on health and development economics. I have conducted economic research and policy analysis for various organizations, such as Zimbabwe Economic Policy Analysis and Research Unit (ZEPARU) and African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). I hold an MSc in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe, where I participated in the Collaborative Masters Degree Programme in Economics for Sub-Saharan Africa. I am passionate about using data and research to address the challenges and opportunities of sustainable development and human well-being.
