Postdoctoral Researcher working in the higher education industry and skilled in Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry. I possess a proven academic background with a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (CTF). Throughout my career and academic studies, I consistently provided laboratory management with health and safety, samples preparation, analytical measurements and data analysis. I offer demonstrable experience in the design, optimization and application of proteomics workflows, with deep knowledge of limited proteolysis (LiP) based strategies for the characterization of proteins partners of bioactive compounds. This includes experience in performing Drug Affinity Responsive Target Stability (DARTS) and LiP, as well as in analyzing samples through Mass Spectrometry, elaborating data via database searching and building and optimizing MRM methods. I also have experience in affinity chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (AP-MS) and in the the analysis of proteins expression in several human matrices through both label-free and label-based global proteomics. I have proven experience in the extraction and quantitation of bioactive compounds from several biological matrices through UPLC-MRM-MS. I also routinuously perform/optimize AlphaScreen (Amplified Luminescent Proximity Homogenous Assay) to asses the inhibitory profile of bioactive molecules towards proteins binary systems. I am capable of working autonomously and of cooperating with other research teams members. From a technical perspective, I am a skilled user of laboratory equipment such as HPLCs and UPLCs (Agilent, Shimadzu, Thermo-Fisher-Scientific and Waters) mass spectrometers (Q-Exactive, QTRAP, LTQ-Orbitrap, MALDI-TOF, Q-TOF), UV/Vis spectrophotometers and fluorimeters. My computer skills involve a proficient use of Windows OS and Microsoft Office. Moreover, regarding proteomics data analysis and representation, I am an experienced user of Proteome Discoverer, MASCOT and MaxQuant seaarch engines for proteins identification and quantitation, of Perseus and GSEA softwares for statistical investigation and of GraphPad Prism for graphical representation. I have excellent writing and speaking capabilities both in Italian (mother tongue) and In English.
