Elvis Picardo brings a global perspective to portfolio management and client relationships, obtained through more than 25 years of international capital markets experience in diverse disciplines. His experience includes 17 years as an analyst and strategist, with numerous successful recommendations and strategies to his credit over this period. Over the course of his career, he has gained in-depth experience in a wide range of asset classes – Canadian and US equities, fixed income, options and currencies. Elvis is presently a Senior Portfolio Manager and Partner at Luft Financial, iA Private Wealth (formerly HollisWealth). Prior to joining Luft Financial in October 2016, he was Vice President - Research and a Portfolio Manager at a leading independent investment dealer in Vancouver. As a Portfolio Manager, Elvis' investment philosophy is based on the core principles of diversification and prudent risk-taking, to achieve growth and income objectives. Elvis has been a CFA charter holder since 1998 and holds the Canadian Investment Manager designation, as well as degrees in engineering and management studies. He has been a regular commentator on stocks and markets for major newswires and media outlets, and has been a guest columnist for several leading financial publications. He is an active volunteer and mentor, and served on the Board of Directors of CFA Society Vancouver from 2015 to 2023. He was President of the Society from July 2022 to July 2023. Elvis has served on the Executive Committee of the Board since 2019, and is currently an ex-officio member as Past President. He was instrumental in launching CFA Society Vancouver's Mentorship Program in 2016, and introducing Board standing committees in 2022.
