I am currently a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate at Rice University studying the mechanisms of pediatric cardiovascular disease formation. I am investigating the cellular interactions between macrophages, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts in the development of discrete subaortic stenosis, a fibrotic growth in the left ventricular outflow tract of the heart. I develop and test in vitro models to mimic disease formation.
