Southeastern Guide Dogs is the most comprehensive guide and service dog school in the world. Elyse is a results-oriented leader who is passionate about people and creating impactful partnerships. Since joining Southeastern Guide Dogs in May of 2019, Elyse has led transformative partnerships that have greatly improved the experience of graduates with a guide or service dog. Because of these partnerships, our graduates not only receive their guide or service dog at no charge but also receive premium dog food, medical preventatives, and annual veterinary care at no charge to our recipients. Southeastern Guide Dogs provides guide dogs, service dogs, and skilled companion dogs for veterans with PTSD/disabilities, youth and adults with vision loss, and children with significant challenges such as vision loss or the loss of a parent in the military. Donations sustain our mission and give freedom and hope to the people that need it most. Southeastern Guide Dogs has nationwide representation and has created thousands of guide dog and service dog teams throughout the United States since our inception in 1982. Our organization operates the most advanced training facilities of any service dog organization in the world which includes our Canine Fitness Program and our Canine Aquatics Program. We are dually accredited by the two premier & global accreditation bodies: the International Guide Dog Federation and Assistance Dogs International. Our website is Southeastern Guide Dogs has won multiple awards for the acclaimed 2018 animation,"Pip", and is the recipient of multiple Emmy awards for video productions of "Dogs of Destiny", created in-house by our very talented media and marketing team. Our mission changes and saves peoples' lives -one dog at a time. Elyse is a graduate of University of Toronto with a Ph.D. in Higher Educational Leadership, is ABD on an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from The George Washington University, has a M.A. in Education also from GW, has a B.A. in psychology & mass communications from York University in Toronto, and is a graduate of Harvard University's Executive Education in Crisis Leadership program.
