About Elyse Lithgow

My position as Senior Clinical Placement Officer establishes and coordinates clinical placements for students within Allied Health Nutrition and Dietetic programs and assists in the coordination of a high quality team of clinical facilitators. I am interested in developing and maintaining partnerships and relationships between Holmesglen and industry stakeholders in order to facilitate clinical work placements. At Holmesglen Institute we work very hard to provide the best teaching for our undergraduates and with the introduction of free TAFE for students wanting to study the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition & Dietetics) there has been a plethora of enrollments into this program. Having previously worked as a Dietetic Allied Health Assistant I know from my experience that workloads for dietitians within hospitals, aged care facilities and private organisations is increasing, thus the need for allied health assistants has grown. The successful training, placement and resulting qualification fulfilled at Holmesglen prepares student to successfully enter these roles. Further to my role in coordinating placements I work as the Student Engagement Officer. This involves tracking student engagement, attendance and performance for students across the Lifestyle Department at Holmesglen, as well as responding to inquiries from prospective students. I am able to use my knowledge of our department's courses to assist students meet their potential, as well as link them to the amazing support services Holmesglen provides.
