About Em Erce

As a first-generation Interdisciplinary Research student at the University of California, Berkeley, I am constantly inspired to learn about the ways in which various mediums shape and reflect our world's cultural values. This has sparked my interest in creative direction and brand strategy, as I am passionate about understanding the connection of media to consumer insights and user behavior. With a passion for the creative industry, I hope to use my studies to hone my skills as a critical thinker, communicator, and collaborator. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have also gained valuable experience and insights through my job at UC Berkeley Student Media and Berkeley clubs, as well as my diverse background in the service industry. I am a highly motivated individual with a passion for personal and professional growth, and I am excited to explore new opportunities and challenges as I continue to develop my skills and experiences. In my free time, I love to read from authors such as bell hooks and Isabel Ibañez as well as give back to my community through volunteer work at Food Not Bombs and Urban Farmers. I also love to play Catan and tend to my plants.
