About Eman Ajmal

I’m a social researcher in training with a deep belief in data as a force for equity. With a background in sociology and a growing focus on social data analytics, my work is driven by one goal: to use research and evidence to make systems more just, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of those often left unheard. Currently pursuing my Master of Science in Social Data Analytics and Research at the University of Texas at Dallas, I explore the intersection of data, justice, and policy focusing on issues like immigration enforcement, procedural justice, and community-based alternatives to traditional governance. My past work includes contributing to Pakistan’s Gender Parity Report and designing support systems for international students navigating complex institutions. I’ve always believed that data should do more than inform, it should transform. That’s what led me from a comfortable path in qualitative research to the rigor of technical analytics. Today, I work with tools like R, SQL, and Shiny, but my lens remains human-centered. I aspire to build a career in public research or development whether with global institutions, academic think tanks, or impact-driven organizations using data to re-imagine systems in ways that serve people more fairly and fully.
