About Eman Siam

A feminist contrarian leader with over two decades of expertise in diverse international, local, and regional contexts within the Humanitarian, Human Rights and Development sectors. These include the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Oxfam GB, the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the United Nations Operations for Projects Services (UNOPS), the European Commission (EC), Save the Children UK (SCUK), Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) and IM Swedish Development Partner. Areas of Proficiency: Strategic development and oversight of regional performance spanning seven countries within the MENA region including West Bank/Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, in the field of social & economic justice, gender equity, the rule of law, peacebuilding, civil society empowerment, as well as the promotion and protection of human rights. The possibility of adding value to people’s lives and bringing meaningful change to individuals and potentially societies - are the main aspects of my job that I am passionate about that get me up in the morning. When I am behind the wheel, I am an active hiker, a traveler cherishing the roles of an avid explorer and a mother of 3 grown-ups.
