About Eman Zaheer

As a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing an integrated master’s degree in Dynamic Systems and Controls, I am driven by a passion for aerospace robotics and advancing human exploration. Within my degree and through personal projects, I have been involved in various projects in the design and test of robotics and biomedical devices, with a specific focus on human-in-the-loop design and dynamic systems. My journey has been shaped by hands-on experience at the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab, where I contributed as a Baseplate and Drop Test Engineer, designing optimized components and conducting rigorous testing. As a Nosecone Engineer, I developed complex recovery systems for rocket components. Additionally, as Director of Access Engagement and Advisory, I cultivated an inclusive team culture within one of the most advanced student-led rocket programs. My professional experience includes an Operations Engineering Internship at BodySpec, where I designed and prototyped medical scanning technology, and an Engineering Internship at Lockheed Martin, where I deepened my expertise in aerospace systems and processes. I served as a Test Engineering Intern at SpaceX, where I gained hands-on experience with testing procedures, propulsion systems, and Falcon 9 rockets. At Blue Origin, I engaged in the Avionics Integration and Test department, focusing on the design and testing of avionics systems critical for aerospace missions. With a relentless curiosity and dedication to advancing human exploration through organization aiming to increase opportunity in engineering like SWE, I aim to contribute to the future of aerospace robotics and engineering.
