About Emanuel Oncu

I’ve learned 4 main things professionally. Thing 1: I don’t appeal to all. Thing 2: I don’t appeal to most. Thing 3: By being extremely selective and brutally authentic I’ve earned the privilege and ability to form those rare and longstanding relationships everyone wants. They’re genuine because they’re built on a foundation of implicit trust. And they’re lasting because both sides continue to do what they say and say what they do. Thing 4: I generate a ton of revenue because I provide a ton of value. 20+ years of experience taught me a very fundamental truth: A company can’t be ridiculously successful without 2 critical divisions playing nice and working together seamlessly. So I learned how to be the architect to calibrate Business Development and Operations. Being able to do Thing 3 and Thing 4 qualifies me to make this happen. Then like in all high-stress, high-level roles I quickly realized what my days truly centered around: Being a problem-solving psychologist. That’s it really. We get hit with a bunch of diverse and intricate issues from all angles. And they’re usually perfectly timed to arrive all at once. There isn't enough time to coddle and babysit the same people who mistake daily firefighting activities for progress. I read somewhere that bees don’t spend time explaining to flies why honey is better than shit. So on that note… I figured the quicker I can either remove problems or fix situations the more time I have to focus on improving and being better. All we have is precious time and I'm not wasting it because I sure as hell am not doing all this just to be 2nd best. Fuck good, be great.
