About Emanuela Biffi

I have a multidisciplinary background, mostly dedicated to justice-related matters. Recently my full attention goes to restorative justice in criminal justice settings as well as in other areas of application such as communities, organizations, peacebuilding and education. I enjoy bringing together different disciplines, such as arts and justice, and people, such as justice professionals and young people. In my previous life, I worked as a sailor, which was key not only to pay my studies, but mostly to learn about surviving storms and team cooperation! I also did quite some volunteering in different areas where more justice is needed (children and youth, migration, environment, right to housing). My key skills are: connecting people, team building and finding synergies between different professional (local, national and international) worlds; organising large-scale international events and facilitating workshops; managing EU-funded (and other) projects and drafting project proposals; sharing of good practices, developing tools for practitioners, capacity building and training; strategic planning and thinking.
