About Emanuela Giancola

Senior researcher at National Spanish research center CIEMAT in the fields of energy efficiency and climate adaptation and mitigation in the cities. Restless person, with constant desire to learn new methodologies and innovative aspects. Enthusiastic and passionate and focus on Sustainability, Energy & Building Physics, trying to do our designs in a way more responsible with our surroundings. Mature and independent professional, I have been formed between two different educational fields, Engineering and Architecture. Hence, I am capable of handling multiple and complex tasks in different conditions, both research and consultancy. Highly motivated with strong analytical and experimental, excellent management, organizational and communication skills. During the last years I was involved in many R&D projects, generally public funded and related to renewable energy in the built environment.
