About Emanuela Mistretta

As an Intern Cargo at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), I supported the Cargo team with effective communication and industry engagement by developing new strategies and digital tools to track and share regional and governance-related actions. I also managed the IATA Multilateral e-AWB Agreement process, which involved signing and registering agreements and providing customer service for freight forwarders, airlines, and other stakeholders.Previously, I was the WTO & UNHRC Advisor and Administrative Officer at the Permanent Mission of the Maldives to UNOG at Geneva, where I led the WTO team and attended several international trade negotiations on sustainable trade-oriented policies. I also reported on multilateral formal meetings and negotiations at the UN, WTO, and other specialized agencies, and drafted statements, press releases, and research and policy analysis in line with the Maldives foreign agenda and UN Sustainable Development Goals.I have a Master of International Relations degree from the Geneva School of Diplomacy, and a BSc degree in Business Management from Queen Mary University of London. I have skills in Microsoft Office, STATA, SPSS, and multiple languages, including Italian, English, French and Spanish. I am resilient, persistent, and goal-oriented, and I love to empathise with people inspiring them. I aim to become a specialist in the development area at international level. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!
