About Emelye MacFarlane

I truly love living and working in beautiful northern British Columbia. Living in northern BC has provided me with endless opportunity and growth in my career. There is a great sense of community here and the people are so friendly and down to earth. Prince George is a great community to live in because it provides me with all the amenities that I want and need with endless outdoor adventure. I appreciate the mix of seasons and quick commutes to recreational activities. In the Winter I like to snowboard at our surrounding ski hills and make the occasional trip out to Powder King near Mackenzie! I love the warm and sunny summers up north! I love riding my bike to work, exploring the trails, and walking my dog through Lheidli Tennah Park. At Northern Health, I feel appreciated and know that the work I do is valuable to the organization. I have the pleasure of interacting with all levels of staff across the health authority. Northern Health operates over a very vast and diverse area so each community is unique and has its own story and health care needs. This makes life as a Recruiter very interesting! Even though I do not directly impact patient care I truly believe I am making a difference and actively contributing to the northern way of caring.
