KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS • Designing a new service model for Employee Relations (ER) at Assurance IQ, I established processes and best practices that empowered the department to effectively support HR and business-wide goals. By coordinating across internal stakeholders, I streamlined connections between legal & ER, resulting in timely issue resolution. • To improve Assurance IQ’s response time to employee grievances, I collaborated with technical teams to create a case management system within JIRA. This enabled the company to quickly gather information on trends and areas of concern, along with the ability to address issues within 48 hours. • I spearheaded multiple regulatory/legal compliance measures at Assurance IQ, including new efforts to navigate and fulfill requirements within Canada. By interviewing and selecting an employment law firm within Canada and hosting Canada-specific labor law training, I ensured the company was prepared for audits. • On behalf of Bankers Healthcare Group, I delivered employee termination training to 300+ team leaders. Creating and enforcing new guidelines, I encouraged a compassionate, compliant, and effective termination process, that resulted in a 30% reduction in complaints from former employees.
